Background
A 26-year old former student, Jamie picked up the game in sixth
form where he played for pennies at lunchtime and free periods. At
Brighton University, he teamed up with friend and future housemate
Ollie Noonan, who, together, ambushed the local £10 rebuy events
and £1/2 cash games at the Grosvenor and Rendezvous Casinos. From
there, they developed their game, moving onto virtual pastures and
making their presence felt on the now defunct Tribeca network where
they claim to have made the $2 freezeout their own.
Credentials
In March, 2010, Jamie participated in Grading II: Destination
Dublin, and was one of five players to be promoted to Blue Belt
status. Consequently, he was freerolled into the WSOP Main Event by
Neil Channing and joined fellow Blue Belt Kevin Williams on a
last-minute flight to Vegas. Despite a plucky performance, Jamie
ultimately exited on Day 3. That wasn't his first visit to Vegas.
Jamie's inaugural venture came when he was just 13 during a
five-State driving trip with his sister and parents.
Jamie is currently grinding out a living in $20-50 turbo SNGs and
$0.50/1 and $1/2 six-handed cash games, while regularly hosting the
ever-popular Dojo Sessions. As a Blue Belt, he receives $1,500 per
month in live tournament backing, and although he boasts a GUKPT
final table, his biggest win came in Brighton when he won a UKIPT
title for £65,400. This took his total live tournament winnings to
over the $100,000 mark. He also finished 24th in the London EPT
later that year.
