Simply sign up to the Black Belt Poker cardroom and link your
account to your Community profile. Click here to

How do I gain belts?
Higher belts are attained when you reach certain Belt Points
thresholds. Once met, each belt level has a monthly belt
maintenance, which is automatically transferred from your Belt
Points balance to your Spending Points. For belts blue and higher,
these Spending Points are then usable for the monthly live
tournament buy-ins which come with those belt levels. Green belts
can turn Spending Points into live tournament entries in special
circumstances.

Belts to become Blue Belt and a Black Belt Poker sponsored pro.

What are Belt Points and how do I earn them?
Belt Points form the basis of the rewards system at Black Belt
Poker. They are awarded in four main categories open to all belt
levels, and their accumulation results in the attainment and
retention of higher belts.
Everyone who joins the online community at Black Belt Poker is
automatically given White Belt status. Downloading the Black Belt
Poker client and linking your account with the Community Site (click here for more
information) results in gaining Yellow Belt. Thereafter the number
of Belt Points you gain over a month determines when you gain a
higher belt. You can keep track of the number of Belt Points you
currently have, and in which categories you have earned them
here:
Play Points
Every time you play a raked hand on the Black Belt Poker site,
you earn Belt Points. The rate at which you earn these is
determined by your current Belt level - the higher Belt you are,
the faster you earn Belt Points. Your Play Points total for the
month is updated daily.
*
Note that the
Belt Boost first time
deposit promotion can increase the rate at which points are earned
at Yellow Belt up to 6 Play Points per $ raked.
(The Belt
Boost rate is only applied for a maximum of 30 days, to a maximum
of 6 Play Points per dollar raked, depending on the initial deposit
amount. Click
here for detailed information on our Belt Boost
promotion.

Community Points
Black Belt Poker provides a unique opportunity for members to be
rewarded for activity on and contribution to the learning
community. From new sign-ups to the top Belt levels, all players
can earn Belt Points through their personal contribution. As you
gain higher Belts, different options for earning Community Points
become available, from posting hands for analysis to writing
strategy content, mentoring other players, or keeping blogs. Black
Belt Poker's Community site is at its core a poker social
networking platform for the exchange of ideas, where members can
raise their game through interacting with all Belt levels, gaining
tuition and learning from each other. The Belt Up rewards scheme is
the only one on any network to directly reward you for taking part
in the life of the Community, which in turn exists to help, direct
and fine-tune your own game, taking it to a higher level.
All belt levels of Orange and higher will be
eligible for 10% or more of their monthly Belt Maintenance target

all our community members.
information on our scheme and how to get started.
Prize Points (Blue Belt and Higher)
Belt Points can be earned by Blue, Brown and Black Belts through
winning in the live tournaments which come as part of their Belt
packages. Belt Points will be awarded based on the gross amount in
USD of the amount to which you were sponsored by Black Belt Poker
(before subtraction of make-up and division). Belt Points are
awarded upon the return to Black Belt Poker of any monies due after
a live tournament cash.
Prize Points will be awarded in all events where players are
wearing Black Belt branding for the duration of the event.
Special Points
These are Belt Points awarded on an individual basis for
exceptional contribution to the community or for rewards which do
not fall under any of the four major categories.
Transferred Points
These are points which you have manually transferred from your
Belt Points bank to your Spending Points. This can only be done
when your Belt Points total is above your monthly Belt Maintenance
level. This figure is deducted from your current Belt Point
balance.
What is the difference between Belt Points and Spending Points?
Belt Points form the basis of Black Belt Poker's rewards scheme.
They are awarded in four main categories: Play, Community, Referral
and Prize (see above). As you reach certain Belt Points thresholds,
you attain higher belts (see How do I gain Belts?). Each Belt level
has its own Belt Maintenance, a cost in Belt Points, which must be
met each month in order to remain at that level. This is done via
the monthly automatic transfer of Belt Points to Spending Points.
Your total numbers of Belt Points and Spending Points are visible
here:
Spending Points can then be used for different
purposes,
dependant on your current Belt level.
At Yellow Belt, use Spending Points to purchase merchandise* and
access restricted content*.
At Orange and Purple Belt levels, Spending Points can also be
used for online satellite entries to special live events, and to
purchase places on Black Belt Poker boot camps.
At Green Belt, the ability to use Spending Points to buy in
directly to selected live tournaments (at the discretion of Black
Belt Poker, up to a maximum buy-in of $500) is unlocked.
At Blue Belt, $1,500 per month is available to use via the Black
Belt Poker Live Backing System. Players may choose from a list of
live events of a buy-in of $1,000 or less, and the corresponding
number of Spending Points is then deducted from their total
available (after approval).
At Brown Belt, $4,000 per month is available to use via the same
system (live events with a buy-in of up to $2,000 can now be
selected).
At Black Belt, $10,000 per month is available.
