James Keys first shot to fame when he final tabled the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe, miraculously transforming $78 into £61,540 as if turning water into wine. He then almost echoed that performance the following year, becoming the only player to cash in two Main Events when he crept into the money for a further £25,340.
With a GCBPT runner-up spot in the bag, Keys is fast becoming one of the UK’s most talented young players, his live prowess paralleled by his success online where he can be found mixing it up at the $1/2 and $2/4 six-max cash tables.
One of few physicists in poker, 23-year old Keys hails from the rough streets of downtown Bury St. Edmunds and is one of the lucky 50 to be participating in the Black Belt Poker Grading.
