From a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University to studying poker in his front room, many parents would have given birth to the odd kitten or two, but with almost half a million in tournament winnings, it was to prove a justified transition. Having already made a major final table at the Amsterdam Master Classics, Bradpiece went on to become the Walsall GUKPT Champion in 2007, the £121,600 first prize still the largest amount won outside of the Grand Final.
A quick glance at his results suggests a real all-or-nothing attitude, six consecutive wins highlighting an aggressive, but calculated game, and one that comes equipped with a genuine desire to be the best.
Ruthless and unforgiving at the table, Bradpiece is a gentle giant off, his softly spoken and affable nature making him a friendly figure on the circuit, and one who, luck forgiving, will be around for many years to come.
