Like many 24-year old online pros, Latimer picked up poker at University where he wisely/unwisely swapped studies for Poker Soc., a group that he would later become president of. It was with this society that Latimer became accustomed to the live format as his team of merry men enjoyed day outings to venues such as the Gutshot. It was to be an eye-opening experience: “I sat next to Nik Persaud who insisted on moving all in on every hand.”
After spending his bankroll on the luxuries in life, Latimer was left with £980 of a £1,000 overdraft and just £20 in the kitty, which he somehow managed to spin up to a grand. From there on in he frequented the Gutshot Pot Limit Hold’em cash tables before later establishing himself as an online pro.
A professional of five years, Latimer has been focusing on six-tabling Omaha High-Low cash on PokerStars for the last two and a half years and is currently one of the Vegas Five-O.
