Considered by many to be the world’s greatest player, Phil Ivey is in a league of his own – the Ivey League. Having recently broken his WPT duck when he won $1,596,000 in Reno, Ivey became one of just seven players to boast over 10 million in tournaments winnings with five WSOP bracelets, a Monte Carlo Millions title and an EPT runner-up spot to his name.
Not avert to the odd gamble, Ivey can often be found glued to the plasma screen, betting on basketball, football, tiddlywinks or whatever sport is available that day. Similarly, he is keen on golf, although not with Goodwin and Vaswani, and is quickly becoming the Tiger Woods of Golf, rather than poker.
Born in California, but raised in New Jersey, Ivey currently lives in Vegas with his wife Luciaetta. He still plays live, but is frequently entertaining the masses on the Full Tilt felt as he exchanges millions with durrrr and blind-flips hundreds of thousands with Zigmund. Don’t we all.
