Hey, peeps. A lot of people have been asking me about Nik's 'Fundamental Theorem of Poker' lectures, and when they're going to return. Well, we've been hard on the case, and the good news is that the series has been completed and is ready to be published. 

I've resurrected the 'Introduction' in our 'articles' section so those who didn't see the first few the first time round can catch up, whilst the other (unseen) lectures will soon follow, scheduled to be published every Tuesday and Friday from hereon in. This means that the first 'new' lecture (Lecture 3) will appear on Friday, May 28, the same day Event 1 kicks off in Vegas. 

There are 17 lectures in all (excluding the Intro), so they'll run throughout the entire World Series. I hope you find them interesting, and if you have a question regarding what Sensei Persaud has said, or require something clarifying (the lectures do get progressively more complicated), then please feel free to fire your queries into the comments' box at the foot of each article. I've read all 20-25,000 words of Nik's lectures, and it's a great, educational read, for both amateurs and pros alike. Not to be missed!

We'll also be publishing lots of other content on the main site during WSOP, mostly with a regular schedule, so be sure to keep those eyes peeled.

For those of you facebookers out there i thought you might be interested in knowing that they are holding a competition for the opening night of fox poker club on the 6th august 2010. I have copied and pasted the information straight from the website for you all to read.  
''I have 5 pairs of tickets for our invite only opening night on the 6th August which will include your buyin to our £5000 Guranteed tournament and all the thrills and spills that you would expect of an opening night but with bells on! 
 
So how do you get your hands on them? All you have to do is to open up your own wall comment and use the Title “I’m want to go to the Fox Poker Club opening”  on this page and then get your friends to cut and paste into your comment ”I really want my friend  to get 2 tickets to the opening night as he / she is fab!”

im planning on moving to london withing next month or 2 but aint moved from my hometown once in my life so not sure really how to go about it, would it be easy enough to get a job down there that will cover the rent of a flat share, just a bit overwhelmed by the whole process lol

Anyone know if theres another grading planned for anytime soon?

Luckbox to Learner Update

Some of you will remember that after the Grading i decided that i would go back to basics and start afresh at the minimicro stakes.

Thta experiment was well worth the time and effort even thou not very productive in terms of actually cash.

The stas from the 01/04/10 

Vpip 20.8 PFR 17.2 3 Bet 6.6 Win Rate 16.13 BB/100

So now i am looking to work my way back up the stakes again but obviously would not expect to have the same win rate as the opponents will be tougher, but i feel my game with all the work i am putting in is moving forward leaps and bounds since the grading days.

Hi peeps.....as my brother would say.....OK away from poker for the time been and I would like to concentrate on a marvelous bet this week. On Tuesday at 5.00pm(GMT) in HOT Nicosia, TEMPERATURES OVER 35C, Omonia FC will be hosting the first leg of the 3rd round Champions League game against Salzburg (Red bull ).My Team Omonia  at 5/4 TO WIN THE GAME is the bet of the MILLENNIUM(AS Tim AMOS WOULD SAY).......why?...why?...I tell you why? Firstly Ominia are the best team in Cyprus ever..better then Anothesis fc AND Apeol fc which both progressed to the League Stages in the previous 2 Years. 
Omonia s players are made up from virtually  the best players of the national team, players from Barcelona B Team and of course not forgetting our new signing.. LUALUA (remember..Newcastle).
The stadium is very compact and the atmosphere that 22 thousand Omonia fans will create will be HELL for any team.
Finally temperature of over 35c and high humidity is a huge advantage for players of Omonia which are used to those conditions. Salzburg Players will need plenty of RED BULL (LOL).
