What do u all make on this ? NEXT POKER BOOM ??

Mostly seem for the Live scene in the U.S However things like DEGENS can no longer deposit $$$ On Credit and go broke and end up in Debt.

Plus the people who pay child support are restricted to deposit ha.. can kinda see the theory behind this one..

But Still IMO this isnt the best of news for Winning players Being Taxed on winnings ?

They want another poker Boom legalise online Poker to every 1 in the U.S and espceially CHINA when that happens If it ever happens things will go mad espec with a pop of like 1.3 billion only needs 0.5 % of the pop to gamble online thats another 6.5million fish in the sea :)

Hi all i have a technical question that i would like some help with? have contacted pokers live support yet they cannt give an answer. Heres my q.- if you were to play a 12 player sng with 0.40c as buy in fee generating $4.80 is this amount classed as rake for each player or is the rake generated split 12 ways?
Posting trophy - more info coming soon ...
simon (ourkidsid) herrick posted on 30 Jul, 5:22pm
not too sure on what you mean, but i think your buy in fee only is what generates your belt points, eg $20+$2 generates $2 worth of rake. otherwise you could enter a huge field mtt and make blue belt in a day!
Posting trophy - more info coming soon ...
Andy (Redkite) Brisland posted on 30 Jul, 5:30pm
Simon has it spot on rake = buyin fee for yourself only. Then to earn belt points you multiply by your belt multiplier which increases every time you move up a belt.

I purchased two tokens this morning at 5am, they were processed at noon and I have just used them to buy in to the two low stakes tourneys tonight, as Mike said, planning ahead is best, the system runs smoothly if you give it time. Are you going to use them tonight ? which games ?

Hello. Unfortunately, we're trying to avoid fast-tracking as it takes up admin time and we don't want to set a precedent for others to purchase them at the last minute. Apologies for any inconvenience and we hope you got into the tournament in time. If anyone has any problems or questions with tokens, then please drop us an email at info@blackbeltpoker.com.

I remember seeing a TV program a (long) while back, where the TV company (channel 4 or 5 ?) gave some professional gambler a bunch of money and told to gamble it... the only stipulation being that he had to spread his bets over as many different forms of gambling as he could. I vaguely remember he did horses, dogs, lottery scratch cards, went to Singapore for more horse racing, then ended up in USA with sports betting (boxing)

Whilst he did the gambling in person, in some of my idle time I wonder about doing something similar in the online world and speculate on how many different forms of online gambling there are...

The stipulation is that it has to be freely available online (i.e. is open to public for no registration fee or ongoing membership), you can place relatively small bets (less than £10) and has a mainstream provider.

The list of activities I have so far come up with is :

1. Poker
Obviously all forms of poker come under this category
2. Other card games
  Three card brag
3. Casino Table games
  Roulette, Blackjack, craps, etc
4. Blackjack tournaments
5. Slot Machines
6. Sports Betting
  Betfair
7. Day Trading
  Tradefair
8. Backgammon
9. Chess
10. Bingo
11. National Lottery

What others are there ?

Try reading Nik's Fundamental theorem of Poker Lectures, they cover all aspects of poker including BRM.
Keep plugging away and please remeber that whatever you play MTTs, SnGs or cash the variance is different.

Gavin (TFMonty007) Hall posted on 29 Jul, 11:38am
Like any building it starts with solid foundations, as Adam points out this is a good article on BRM http://www.blackbeltpoker.com/articles/read/The-Fundamental-Theorem-Of-Poker-Lecture-Sixteen.

Maintaining an adequate bankroll is important as it allows you to play with freedom and creativity that your LAG style likes. Like all buildings once the foundations are solid, even if it takes a while to build them, then the rest will follow soon after. However, if the foundations are not sorted out properly then it can come crashing down rather quickly.

I'm after a bit of advice about Chip Accumulation in MTT's. About 60/70% of the time, I will get myself up to about 10k in chips comparatively early on in tournaments but then I will not get any further, from where I will just generally bleed away chips through trying to steal and being 3 bet or c bets going wrong for example where eventually I end up shortstacked and in push/fold mode. I dont steal that often or anything like that and maybe I tighten up too much I dont know but has any one got any suggestions or point me to some articles etc about chip accumulation in the middle part of tournaments or generally how we should be playing at this time in a game?

'' I will get myself up to about 10k in chips comparatively early on in tournaments '' based on what startin stak ? what field ? level of blinds ? kinda need to be specific

IMO seems like u may be playing scared poker in mid stages near or around Bubble area where you really shd b playin fairly ruthless poker ( within reason obv ) Pik on smaller / similar stak size to ur own as u need to be putting them to the decision for their tourny life not the other way round..

Also '' I dont steal that often or anything like that '' Steal enough times where ppl may start to ask Q's but obv not give u no credit whatsoever as if u dont pik up the PREM hands then u will be foldin to 3 bets a tonne nd leakin chips..

I learnt through trial nd error Never 4 bet shove 46 in to the BB just ask Tristan ;)

GL wid ur MTT's
