Greetings.

Our next Academy is just around the corner, and this time around we'll be returning to the home of East End Live: Asper's Casino, Stratford.

The topic for the day is WSOP: Winning Your Seat & Surviving Vegas, so if you want tips on satellites, playing the Main Event, and what to do once you're over there, then this is the Academy for you.

It will also be a lot of fun, and anybody who fancies playing Asper's £50 freezeout at 18:00 will automatically be entered into a last-longer for a future Academy seat.

You're being treated to three mentors this time with Alex Rousso, Neil Channing and Jamie Burland all on hand to offer their extensive knowledge. If you have any questions regarding the day, then please feel free to post your query here and one of them will be happy to answer.

For further details on the event, see here:

http://www.blackbeltpoker.com/training/academies/winning-your-seat/

If you would like to attend, simply purchase a token from the Store, or email us at training@blackbeltpoker.com to register your interest and discuss payment options. Tickets are a snip at £99.

Thu May 24 (8pm) 'Moving House: Tournaments to Cash'
with Jamie Burland
special guest: David Gentry

Highlighting the common pitfalls encountered by tournament players at the cash table, both in six-max and full-ring.

Although the world of MTTs undoubtedly attracts a lot of players to the Black Belt Poker felt, many suggest that it's the cash tables that truly test the capabilities of a player.

If you've always considered making the transition but were hesitant to dip into unknown waters, or have even already taken a dive, but jumped straight back out, then allow experienced cash pro Mr. Burland to guide you through the process.

With the aid of special guest and fellow Blue Belt David Gentry, Jamie will attempt to make the move as smooth as possible, discussing the major pitfalls and mistakes tournament players make, whilst going through key skills you will need in your arsenal in order to succeed.

If you want to take on the world of cash, or simply brush up on those fundamentals, then this is the Dojo for you. Even if you only play cash for a limited time, the keys you develop in the meantime are certain to improve your MTT game.

To take advantage of this opportunity, purchase a token from the Store, or utilise a free ticket if you are Purple Belt or above by contacting training@blackbeltpoker.com. Any questions, fire away on this thread.

Greetings.

As with last year, this Sunday's iPOPS Main Event will send the top 27 to Barcelona to play to a conclusion alongside the iPOPS Live Open.

If you fall short of the final three tables, then don't fear as you can still head to sunny Spain courtesy of Black Belt Poker.

Already running are a number of satellites for the iPOPS Live Main Event, a €700+70 freezeout with a 30,000 starting stack.

See here for more information, including satellite schedule:

http://www.blackbeltpoker.com/promotions/ipops-live/

And to prove it can be done, two Black Belt Poker players have already secured their seat: Paul Romain and, only yesterday, Richard Hurst.

Congratulations to both: they've received a package worth €2,200 including flights, accommodation and that all-important players' party.

Greetings. Due to complications with the venue, we have regrettably had to cancel this week's upcoming Academy: Poker by Numbers.

However, the good news is that a venue has been confirmed for our next Academy.

On Saturday, May 26, Black Belt Poker will be returning to the home of East End Live, Aspers Casino, Stratford, for one of our most popular Academies to date: WSOP: Winning Your Seat.

The day will be jam-packed with advice on how to secure your route to Vegas, with advice on satellites of all types, as well as tips for how to make optimum use of your time whilst in Sin City.

Even if you don't plan to vie for Vegas, then this Academy will teach you everything you need to know about how to tackle satellites in general, and win that big buy-in entry for a fraction of the price.

If you would like to attend this Academy, then please drop us an email as soon as possible to confirm attendance and discuss payment options.

Similarly, if you've won entry through an Orange Belt Freeroll, or have a free seat at your disposal from reaching Green Belt or above, then please drop us a line.

Tickets are a snip at £99, and there is also a token available in the Black Belt Poker Store for anyone who wishes to buy in using Spending Points.

This should be a fun, yet informative day, and a great opportunity for those searching for the cheapest possible path to Vegas, so don't miss out.

If you have any questions about the day, then please post them here and either Alex Rousso or Neil Channing will be on hand to answer.

Wed May 09 (7pm) 'PLOwning' with Jerome Bradpiece
special guest: Richard Ashby
Omaha pros Jerome and Richard discuss the key concepts required for dominating the Pot Limit Omaha tables.

Due to popular demand, this Dojo Session is returning in the second week of May with Jerome Bradpiece once again at the helm, ready and braced to tackle any hands or questions you feel the urge to throw his way.

The cherry on the cake is Richard Ashby, who will also be acting as sidekick on the night and offering his words of wisdom, plucked straight from his years of experience playing some of the greatest Omaha players around, at the highest stakes available.

As for Jerome, he's been a consistently winning Omaha cash player for a long time now, across various stakes, and this is a rare window to pick his brains and learn from one of the very best players on the iPoker network.

If you want to take advantage of what is an incredible opportunity, then register early to not only secure your seat, but to enable you to submit any particular topics you want Jerome and Richard to discuss.

Once again, the price tag reads a mere 300 Spending Points (available via the Store), with free entry to Purple Belts and above who have a ticket at their disposal.

Book your seat now.

Greetings. It's emerged that although people are up for this, they don't want to commit in advance. Therefore, we're going to allow payment on the day, and see if we can get the tournament up and running that way. Thanks.
