I'm in the middle of watching an excellent mid-stakes cash game series called Blah and The Fiend by FoxwoodsFiend and Blah at the moment. Really great stuff - highly recommend.

Do you know what your range to shove 8M in the CO should be with 2 regs behind? How about if a maniac shoves 15BB from the SB into your BB - how light should you be there? How confident are you with Pokerstove and SNG Wiz? How strong are your ICM decision once you reach the FT.

This and more discussed in OMGClaydol's Real Life 180 Man Grinder Series. Check it out if you feel like your push/fold game is not up to scratch.

The Poker Puzze by Improva - free sessions released by Oliver himself!
Since his 300+ euro book has been pirated on torrent site, "Improva" has decided to free issue some of his training material through DuecesCracked.
This should not be missed - this is the "nuts" guys! (members only)

The above 2 are pretty much THE definitive guide to HU transition from 6 mx.

Once you have dones these then look at any series by GMAN.

Hi all,

Sorry this is such a general post but I'm new to DC and not sure where to start. I'm looking for some 6-max video series focusing on $200NL/$400NL.

I've started watching Vanessa Selbsts Unusual Lines (or something similar) and that's very good but it's from four years ago. Ideally, he series would be from he past year too.

Any ideas folks?! Cheers!

I'm gonna write a short review of these to ensure I get the most out of them and allow others to decide if they want to follow the series

DC Series - MTT Principles with daaaaaang16.

Episode #1

Basically an introduction to the series, with a breakdown of what is to come. It's pretty much going to be Early, Middle, and Late game stages - including bubble, in the money, and FT play.

He also states that his teaching will mainly be based on fundamentals such as position, aggression, and inflection points. If you are not offay with these concepts or why he has cited them as fundamentals you should tune in.

Purported to be aimed at beginners, novices, and more advanced players, including transitioning players coming from cash - a little something for everyone. If you are not winning at low-stakes tournaments or have gone stale and need a refresher I would suggest this series. If there are spots coming up where you know you are not playing the maximum EV line, then also take a look.

Also looks at different tournament formats from F/O, to Rebuys, Sats, Shootouts, and MTT SnGs, and different structures.

Finally, addresses different styles from LAG to TAG, Small Ball, and Big Pot Poker.

Note about delivery: daaaaaang16 has been criticised, and I think fairly, for what he admitted himself is a rather nervy debut. He is painful at times, with a seeming lack of specific idea of what he is about to say net, but he does get there. By Episode #3 this has improved quite a lot, with just the occassional lapse.

cont...
Hand examples show when to fold on certain flops and stop being stubborn when indicators are that we are beat, including what info allows us to make the fold (note to new players: I think this is very strong as I'm sure that learning to fold was the first breakthrough I had when new to poker).

Next examples show hitting flops hard and how to extract maximum value vs different opponents, when to flat-call or when to raise when bet into considering wet and dry boards and stack sizes, and using opponent aggression
against them.

Also shows how to take advantage of limpers using aggression and position.

Finally, a little creative play to manufacture a spot to build chips, firstly utilising the 'squeeze play', pushing a raiser with a limper in behind off a pre-flop pot. Secondly, missing a multi-way post, but with good equity and getting a little funky to win the pot, using HUD reads and fold equity.

Thought I would add to my intial reviews, and I'm back on with these so will have a couple more episode reviews coming soon.

Episode #2 - Hand Reviews

Essentially, we are looking at 'To c-bet, or not to c-bet', but there is some later street discussion too:

Hand #1 - We are pfr oop with mid-pocket pair flopping a dry board
Hand #2 - AKs in BU with 1 call from BB flopping a draw-heavy board
Hand #3 - QJs late pos PFR vs 1 call in SB. Dry flop with one overcard
Hand #4 - Flopping a monster and how to get value as our 88 flops a boat.
Hand #5 - utilising position against perceived weakness
Hand #6 - Pocket rockets vs an active and aggresive player. How to get value abnd
Hand #7 - AQ from SB in early stages flopping TP but with draws on the board.
Hand #8 - completing from SB to set-mine, hitting the flop, and extracting value.
Hand #9 - BU vs blinds hitting middle pair vs active player who has been c/r flops.
Hand #10 - 88 MP pfr v activeplayer in SB hitting a dry board and exercising pot control
Hand #11 - ATs utg pfr called in 2 spots behing using bet-sizing to give price to draw and to manipulate
a situation on later street

I'm starting with MTT Principles Chris by daaaaaang16. It is back to basics, but I have picked up one or two things in the opening few episodes.

It is his first series (I belive he improves infuture series) but he tends to pause and errrrrrrr and have some sort of reflux problem were is forever swallowing a rising burp though. Not really a recommendation is it?

I'm going to perservere and then put a short review on this board.
