Continued from Part One...

Although the Wynn was undoubtedly my favourite game, the massive highlight was a still-inexplicable session of $2/5 at the Venetian with Eli Elezra. What he was doing in the game we will never know. He did seem to be taking it fairly seriously though, dwelling over decisions etc, but it didn’t stop him creating an obscene amount of action. My favourite moment was when Eli schooled us all in the art of table talk by getting a guy to stack off in ridiculous fashion.

The guy raises pre and Eli calls. The flop comes A-K-9 and although I don’t remember who did what, there’s a bet and a call. The turn is a T; the guy bets and Eli raises. The guy dwells and Eli says to him, “If it helps, I swear on my children’s life, I don’t know what my hand is.” The guy looks up in surprise. “But if you go all in,” Eli continued, “I think it will be bad for you.”

Like a puppet on a string, the guy did what I’m pretty sure would never have been an option for him before the thought was put into his head, and...
